Occupational Therapy Advocacy

Purpose of Meeting

April is occupational therapy (OT) month. To advocate for our profession, spread knowledge about OT's scope of practice, and encourage the younger generation to consider pursuing OT as a profession, my student colleagues and I would like to host a table at the library. We will speak to library constituents about the benefits of occupational therapy, and what occupational therapists do for their patients. We will bring educational hand-outs, and a poster board. Our professor, Dr. Prochilo from Stony Brook University Occupational Therapy Program, is overseeing our event materials.
